NEW LOW-COST SCHEDULING OPTION TO BE LAUNCHED.
Solarvista announces "Planner Plus".
Solarvista announce a new option to the Solarvista 7 suite, Solarvista 7 Planner Plus, which provides automated scheduling features to the existing Planner product.
"We've always had a great manual drag-and-drop Planner product and now we will extend this with automated scheduling at a very low cost", said Chris Welsh, Sales Director. "This new product sits in between our existing Planner and upper-tier Optimizing Scheduler products, but at a hard to match price."
Planner Plus provides real-travel time computation and will also jobs to be automatically assigned to the best available and/or lowest cost resource. As part of the Solarvista 7 suite, it is able to consider skills, starting/return positions, parts availability, territory assignment etc. It is possible to manually request a decision, or allow Solarvista 7 to automatically make the decision upon job creation/approval. In addition, Planner Plus allows 'appointment booking' where a dialog occurs in between the user and the customer.
Planner Plus does not replace Optimizing Scheduler (the upper tier product based upon the ServicePower engine), but it does provide a simple solution suitable for many scenarios.
Planner Plus will be available from Q3/2010 on a subscription basis.
