We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Operation Engineer to join and become a key part of our team.
Solarvista Software Limited is based in Sheffield, UK, specialising in the development of commercial workforce mobilisation solutions for all sizes of business.
Solarvista LIVE is an innovative, purely field service system, and continues Solarvista’s 20-year heritage of providing field service, workforce mobility, and ERP systems for some of the best-known brands in UK.
Solarvista Zappflow is an innovative Workforce Mobility Application Builder that offers a rapid “no-code” approach to building custom applications for workforce management, including web portals and mobile apps.
Position
IT Operations Engineer
Salary: £competitive
Hours: 37.5 hours, rotas between 0600-1900, Mon-Fri
Location: Sheffield Office
NOTE: Initially working from home may be required subject to government restrictions.
Responsibilities
As a member of the team, you will be involved in a broad range of operational I.T. activities relating to maintenance and on-going development of Solarvista customer platforms but also in-house I.T. systems. This will require working outside normal hours and/or working on an on-call basis against a scheduled rota.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a some of the following skills:
- Networking, infrastructure, and virtualisation knowledge.
- Scripting with PowerShell (or similar).
- Understanding how to use REST APIs.
- Basic SQL skills (T-SQL preferred).
These are beneficial but not mandatory as we will provide training:
- Understanding Containers (Docker) concepts.
- Some cloud platform experience (not a requirement.
Crucially however, you must have a strong willingness to constantly learn, be self-motivated, have an ability to manage own time against schedules/deadlines and have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
