Release notes Data Gateway V6.6.4.25235. We are glad to announce that we have released a new version of the Data Gateway, V6.6.4.25235, which fixes two issues that you may have experienced while syncing your data sources.

Fixes:

  • Issue 19595: Data Source Syncing - High Work Item Cosmos Request Charges: We have resolved an issue where some work item sync requests could use a high number of RU’s (request units) when querying Cosmos, resulting in high costs and reduced performance. This issue was caused by the sync and count methods used in data source syncing, which were not optimized for large data sets. With this fix, we have improved the sync and count methods to reduce the number of RU’s used and improve the efficiency and speed of the sync process.
  • Issue 19597: Data Source Syncing - Delete all previous rows if not synced for some time: We have resolved an issue where some data source rows could remain in the work item data source table even after they were deleted from the original data source, causing inconsistency and confusion. This issue was caused by the lack of a mechanism to delete old rows that were not synced for some time. With this fix, we have added a mechanism to delete all previous rows from the work item data source table if they have not been synced for more than 28 days, or if the sync has parameters and has not been completed in the last 28 days. This will ensure that the work item data source table is always up to date and consistent with the original data source and avoid high cosmos request charges when checking for removed items.
